In "Under the Knife," a man's brief death during surgery leads to a haunting vision: a spectral boatride with a mysterious woman named Zoe, fleeing across a moonlit river as they pass the drowned remains of men who died in cowardice. As sirens wail and shadows close in, they are overtaken by a figure whose face is unmistakable—only the man’s return to life brings no relief, for the memory of that face lingers, chillingly familiar.

In "What Lurks in the Mountain?", a communist general pressures a Tibetan lama to reveal the location of a hidden alien spacecraft, threatening to kill the village if he refuses. When the soldiers march to the mountain and find nothing, they assume the lama deceived them—until the ground itself begins to tremble and the mountain lifts into the sky, revealing its true nature.
