Crazy Magazine #13
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel's humor magazine proudly proclaims itself "The Magazine That Dares to Be Dumb," and issue #13 from 1975 delivers on that promise with a wonderfully grotesque cover by Nick Cardy — a hunched, cloaked figure with an enormous bulbous nose clutches a long chain of paper-doll cutouts, perfectly embodying the "Special Hang-Ups Issue!" banner. Inside, the laughs keep coming with parodies touching on Tommy, nutrition ("Hold the Pickle, Hold the Lettuce, Lose Your Stomach"), poetry, and a full lineup of what the cover cheekily calls "insecure features." It's a delightfully unhinged snapshot of mid-seventies Marvel comedy at its most gleefully self-deprecating.
