Cracked takes aim at the summer's caped blockbuster with this gleefully warped cover by John Severin, depicting caricatures of Batman squaring off against a green question-mark-suited Riddler and a split-faced Two-Face looming large in the foreground. Severin's caricature work is sharp and expressive, capturing the rubbery absurdity that made Cracked a reliable antidote to Hollywood self-seriousness. Inside, Lou Silverstone and Wally Brogan carry the torch with "Batty, Man, Forever (or at Least Until the Next Sequel Comes Along)," promising the kind of good-natured comic skewering that was this magazine's bread and butter in 1995.
