Steve Englehart's Epic Comics series takes a genuinely unsettling turn in this October 1984 installment, with cover art by Chas Truog and Bob Wiacek that commands attention. The cover presents a striking triptych of menace: a green-tinted figure with goggle-like eyes and an exposed, floating brain, a masked character with bold zigzag facial markings, and a young man whose skull opens to reveal his own mind — all framed by the ominous declaration that Sly Santangelo has joined the Shadow Cabinet, though apparently without knowing what that truly meant. With a teaser for The Djinn tucked into the corner, this issue promises plenty of cerebral — and perhaps literal — mind-bending territory ahead.
