Wild Bill Hickok attempts to recover a stolen horse from a man named Curlew who has taken it in a cattle dispute. After a gunfight in town where Hickok defeats Curlew's men, Hickok pursues Curlew into the mountains. A woman named Annie becomes involved in the conflict, revealing that her father was trampled by Curlew's cattle and demanding justice. Hickok agrees to help Annie settle the score with Curlew by confronting him about his crimes.
