"Belle of the Prom" follows Winky Barrett, who initially refuses to attend her high school prom because she has no new dress, but her mother surprises her by offering her own wedding dress to wear, transforming Winky into the sensation of the prom. The final story depicts two young boys at a lake engaging in swimming competitions and rescue fantasies, with one boy pretending to drown so the other can save him and prove himself a hero.
In "null," Jo finds herself tangled in a mix-up when Angelpuss gifts Cookie a bizarre shirt for his birthday—only for Zoot to deliver it without the card. Misreading the gesture as a gift from his aunt, Cookie sends it back, setting off a chain of awkward misunderstandings neither of them expected.
