"Jitterbuck Jones" follows a character who calls Cookie to borrow platters and a head for a joint on the double, leading to a chaotic situation involving police pursuit and a car chase on city streets. Another story depicts a man opening a new business and attempting to put lucky numbers on his storefront, leading to confusion with a woman about which address belongs to her building. A third story shows children blocking a public road with a trailer, and when told to move it, they suggest parking it as a tourist trailer instead, eventually becoming stranded on a new divided highway under construction.
Tessie brings home a brown bear rug instead of the white polar bear rug that she and Doll wanted for their fireplace, claiming it cost just twenty dollars—a bargain compared to the pricey white ones. When confronted about the color mismatch and the discrepancy in price, Tessie reveals her plan to bleach the rug white herself, spending an extra ten dollars on peroxide and platinum bleach. It's a humorous tale of how good intentions and budget-conscious shopping can lead to anything but the desired result.
Moronica opens a dog laundry business and takes on her first customer's beagle—but a comical mix-up at a nearby laundry leaves the poor pup covered in eagle feathers instead of properly groomed. When she delivers the feathered beagle to the dog show anyway, the judges are so charmed by this "unique specimen" that they award it first prize, leaving everyone confused about what exactly won the ribbon.
