"The Funniest Kid in Town" features Cookie getting tied up with rope at a Cub Scout meeting after his leader announces they will learn how to untie knots, leading to romantic complications when a girl named Jasmine arrives, and ultimately to Cookie dancing with her after a masked Halloween party causes confusion about his faithfulness. "The Gal with Know-How!" tells of Angelina Quigley, a new employee at a truck company who submits multiple raise requests that are ignored by her boss Mr. Pullmotor; she boldly confronts him and later impresses him by successfully starting a truck that wouldn't begin, leading to her negotiating a higher salary and catching the eye of another employee, Jitterbuck, whose advances result in a chaotic domestic scene when his wife Hilda discovers them together.
When Cookie O'Toole and Jitterbuck Jones miraculously get voted into the exclusive Campus Stinkers fraternity despite Zoot's opposition, they face a brutal initiation—but the real trouble starts when both become entangled in a treasure hunt for the beautiful Jasmine Duval, the society's prom queen. As their friendship crumbles under rivalry and romantic schemes orchestrated by a vengeful Zoot, Cookie and Jitterbuck square off in a wild race to find the hidden prize first.
When Jitterbuck spots a movie poster for Hollywood's hottest crooning star, Honeyboy Adams, he can't resist boasting that he'd give the celebrity a run for his money—if he bothered to compete. But when Honeyboy vanishes from tinseltown and Jitterbuck ends up in a small-time traveling act with a cunning young woman named Hilda, their paths cross in ways neither expects. As Hilda's true intentions unravel and danger closes in, Jitterbuck discovers that fame and romance can be far more complicated than he bargained for.
