"The Funniest Kid in Town," Cookie, attends a circus where he amazes onlookers with field glasses that make distant objects appear close. In a separate story titled "Jit Strikes Out," a student named Jitterbuck Jones lies to his teacher about having a toothache to skip class and attend a baseball game instead, but feels guilty when he realizes he missed an important lesson and cannot enjoy the game, ultimately confessing his deception to his classmate Cookie.
