Cookie is an anthology comic featuring the character Cookie as its headline attraction. One story follows Jitterbuck Jones, a boy who has kept a library book overdue for months and must sneak it back before facing the principal's wrath; when discovered on the library roof examining a bird's nest of wag-tailed sproons, the principal rewards rather than punishes him for his ornithological interest. In the main Cookie feature, Cookie stages an elaborate magic show complete with costume and props to entertain a group of smaller children, earning their admiration and affection through his performance and showmanship.
