Cuffy invents the "Sky Hat"—a flying contraption he's certain will make him a fortune—only to have spies whisk him away to the kingdom of Moronia, where a boy king demands he build one for the royal crown. When a scheming Duke Villin hijacks the flying crown for his own power grab, Cuffy finds himself caught in the chaos of a royal coup attempt. Back home and empty-handed, Cuffy discovers the patent office has rejected his invention as too dangerous—just as a friend shows up wearing a knockoff propeller hat of their own.

Coo Coo tries every mode of transportation imaginable to escape the cold and fly south for the winter—a plane, a train, a bus, even a ship—but each attempt comes with its own comedic catastrophe. After a grueling journey, the determined bird finally reaches his tropical destination, only to discover a rather chilling twist to where "south" has actually taken him. It's a warmly hilarious tale of one bird's misguided winter migration that proves sometimes the simplest solution is the best one.
