Convergence Swamp Thing #1

Part of DC's 2015 Convergence event, this first issue of a two-part series brings together writer Len Wein and artist Kelley Jones for a story titled "It's Not Easy Being Green!" Kelley Jones's cover art captures the full, imposing mass of Swamp Thing bursting upward from a tangle of roots and swamp vegetation, fist raised and glowing red eyes blazing, with a skull embedded in the gnarled growth at his base and a withered hand emerging from the muck nearby. It's a genuinely striking image — dense, moody, and atmospheric — that sets the tone for what promises to be a dark and compelling chapter in the Convergence saga.
