This issue contains two romance stories. "Woody's Got No Depth!" tells of Helen Merton's vacation at Forest Lake, where she meets the charming but seemingly shallow Woody Flamm; after Helen's mother falls ill and Woody takes decisive action to save her life, Helen realizes he possesses true courage and depth, and they marry. "Betsy's Adventures" follows a woman who recounts meeting Walter, a poor but ambitious writer, and falling in love during a magical night in New York City; years later, as Walter achieves success, they reconnect during a cruise to Bermuda, where Walter proposes and they find their way back to each other.
