A regal but battle-hardened Conan — adorned with gold jewelry and a royal blue tunic — clashes blade-to-blade with a fur-clad opponent atop what appears to be a wooden structure, the purple twilight sky lending the whole scene a sinister atmosphere. Mike Kaluta's cover linework gives both figures a raw, kinetic energy, with swords catching the light and hair flying as the two combatants press dangerously close. "Night Vengeance" promises exactly the kind of dark, high-stakes confrontation that made Marvel's Conan the King such a satisfying read in 1989.
