“The River of Death”

In "The River of Death," Conan finds himself drawn into a deadly ritual when he rescues Kalara’s child from the Monks, who seek to sacrifice the infant to the river demon Dratha. With the help of Kalara’s brother, Eral, Conan confronts the beast only to uncover a deeper truth—this child is actually the son of Dralos, another river demon, and must be returned to his father. Written by Bruce Jones and brought to life with dynamic art by John Buscema—pencils and inks on the cover and interior—this issue blends mythic dread with unexpected compassion, all rendered in vivid colors by George Roussos and sharp lettering by Janice Chiang.
