“Tolometh Rising”

Tolometh Rising" promises high-stakes sword-and-sorcery action in this 1995 Marvel entry in the Conan the Adventurer series. Rafael Kayanan's cover depicts a powerfully built, dark-haired Conan standing defiant, massive sword in hand, his red war-skirt whipping around him as he towers over fallen or struggling figures — including a bearded warrior and what appears to be a monstrous, clawed creature at the edges of the composition. The dramatic title lettering and brooding purple-and-gold sky set the stage perfectly for whatever menace "Tolometh" is about to unleash on the Cimmerian.
