This August 1990 Marvel magazine-format issue brings the Amra Saga to its conclusion, as promised right on the cover. Nestor Redondo's painted cover pulls you in immediately: a muscular, bare-chested Conan wrestles desperately with a massive, fang-mouthed demon whose enormous clawed hands grip a dagger inches from the Cimmerian's face, while a terrified blonde woman cowers nearby amid a scatter of gold coins. It's a striking piece of fantasy art that captures everything compelling about Roy Thomas and John Buscema's sword-and-sorcery storytelling at full throttle.
