Sonja uses Kalayah to gain entrance to the Prince's chambers to steal a rare jewel. However Conan is after the same prize. They join forces to escape the palace then fight over the prize which turns out to be Bloodroot seeds. Manus Drath reveals that he hired them both to steal the seeds and that he is the servant of Thoth-Amon. Sonja burns the seeds, Conan kills Manus and they split the gold and head off on separate paths. Meanwhile a Bloodroot seed that Manus planted earlier on a Barachan Isle has grown and taken over the island killing the lone farmer Kalos Bai.
