In "El hijo de Cimmeria," Conan leads Peleon into the wilds of Cimmeria to test his mettle, but their journey takes a deadly turn when Peleon provokes a bear and is taken by Conobar. When Conobar, driven by rage over his slain bear-servant, attacks Conan, the fight ends in bloodshed—only for Conan to realize, too late, that his opponent was his long-lost son.
