Conan the Barbarian #5 (1983) features the story "¡El origen de Belit!" with Conan and Belit as central characters, drawn by John Buscema and inked by Steve Gan, based on a script by Roy Thomas and additional writing by Ángeles Aledo and Moncho Cordero. The cover, penciled by John Buscema and inked by John Romita, showcases the duo in a striking, dynamic scene.
In "¡El origen de Belit!", Conan listens as N’yaga recounts the tale of Bêlit, the rightful heir to the throne of Asaglun. After her father’s murder at the hands of her uncle Nim-Karrak, she was hidden and raised among a tribe that whispered she was the daughter of Derketa, goddess of death. Now a fierce warrior, Bêlit’s path leads her from exile to the sea, where she turns to piracy—driven not by greed, but by a vow to reclaim what was stolen.
