In "Demonvinger," Conan aids a group of shipbuilders threatened by a clan of cat-men, proving his strength and cunning in the face of feline foes. When Ossian is gravely injured protecting Conan from the warrior Shing Luu, the wounded man’s determination sparks a bold new invention—using Shing’s own wings as the foundation for a flying device.

In "De døde i den levende natt," Conan is haunted by a dream of his village consumed by fiery rain, driving him to return home despite the dangers ahead. Along the way, he must battle the living dead and face a witchman loyal to the sorceress Vammatar, as the night itself seems to rise against him.
