In the dusty streets of Khorala, Silus and his daughter Marni seek to claim the long-abandoned gold mine of Ororium, but their quest takes a deadly turn when Silus hires Conan as a bodyguard. As the pair ventures deep into the mine, ambushes and monstrous horrors await—first a brutal attack by shadowy men, then a sudden, monstrous worm that claims Silus’s life. Back at Jenna’s tavern, Conan agrees to finish the task, now bound to recover the gold for Marni.
