In "Det mörka brödraskapets talisman," Conan is imprisoned and forced to turn a massive millwheel, but when he escapes with Gath—a young man whose bride was stolen on their wedding day by nobleman Thoyaga—their journey leads them to Thoyaga’s castle under false pretenses. There, they find Frikka, the stolen bride, who has grown comfortable in her new life and has no desire to return home. Written by Charles Dixon and Henrik Brandendorff, with art by Mike Docherty and inks by Dave Simons, this 1996 Semic issue features a cover by Earl Norem.

Conan är fången och får skjuta på ett enormt kvarnhjul. Han rymmer tillsammans med Gath, en ung man vars trolovade stals från honom på bröllopsdagen av adelsmannen Thoyaga. Gath lurar med Conan till Thoyagas slott under förevändningen att det ska finans en stor skatt där. Flickan, Frikka, har dock funnit sig väl till rätta på slottet och vill inte återvända hem.
