Conan #5/1974
In "Dormammus Fall," Ka-Zar and Zaladane crash-land in the heart of the lost jungle, where they’re led to the Black Lake—source of Garokk’s immortality. As Ka-Zar faces a deadly guardian, Garokk’s growing madness threatens to consume him, but the lake’s power may be his undoing. Written by Gerry Conway and illustrated by Barry Smith, with inks by Frank Giacoia, and a cover by Thord Lindblom, this 1974 tale blends primal danger with the cost of unchecked power.
In "Dormammu Fall," Dr. Strange finds himself caught between cosmic threats and personal duty when Umar, guided by Clea and Victoria Bentley, helps him confront Dormammu—whose own vow prevents him from setting foot on Earth, forcing a retreat to the dark dimension. As the immediate danger recedes, Strange is approached by an old colleague, Dr. Benton, with an unexpected offer of medical work, setting the stage for new challenges.
In "Dödens pendel," Dr Strange faces off against Lord Nekron, a dark lord bound by a grim pact with Satannish for eternal life—on the condition that he find a sorcerer to take his place within a year. With time itself turned against him, Strange must outwit the very forces of fate to break the cycle before the final hour strikes.
In "Monstret i templet," Conan and Fafnir face betrayal from Aala and battle demonic forces as the cataclysmic eruption of Bal-Sagoth forces them to flee to Vilayet-sjön, where they are rescued by Yezdigerd, prince of Turan.
In "Slutet," Ka-Zar and Zaladane crash-land in the jungle, leading Ka-Zar to the Black Lake—source of Garokk’s immortality. As Ka-Zar faces a guardian beast by the lake, Garokk, driven mad by his power, meets his end when Ka-Zar casts him into the waters, stripping him of his immortality.
In "Mänsklighetens sista stund," Silversurfarens desperate bidrag att bryta fri från sin fångenskap på Jorden får oanade konsekvenser when the Främlingen arrives, setting a bomb aimed at eradicating all life on the planet.
