Conan jagar efter ett bevingat apmonster när han stöter på den vackra änkan Lia. Han träffar också Lias svåger Zvevo, som i hemlighet förvandlas till apmonstret med hjälp av Akhallas legendariska formelsamling som han stulit genom att mörda sin egen bror.
