Conan #3
In "La sorcière de Khauran," Conan finds himself caught in a web of deception when Taramis learns her twin sister Salomé is alive—only to discover Salomé has seized the throne of Khauran and impersonates her, commanding the army to disband. Refusing to obey, Conan is captured and crucified in the desert, only to be rescued by Olgerd, leader of a band of outlaws. With Olgerd’s forces at his back, Conan prepares to storm Khauran, leading a daring rescue of Taramis from Salomé’s dungeon. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated with dynamic precision by John Buscema, with inks by Tony DeZuniga, Steve Gan, Rudy Mesina, and Freddie Fernandez, the cover by Bob Larkin captures the tale’s haunting intensity.
