In "Erliks öga," Conan journeys to Zamboula with Isparana to return the cursed amulet Erliks öga to its rightful owner, Akter Khan. Along the way, they are attacked by yogiterna and saved by the Shankifolket, whose princess Derketari has died under strange circumstances. When Akter Khan tries to kill Conan and imprisons Isparana, the Cimmerian joins forces with the exiled prince Balad in a desperate bid to survive.
