In "Bak nattens mur," Conan joins a band of mercenaries hired by the nobleman Tollius to reclaim his birthright from the sealed, roofed village of Harrikar. In "Uhyret fra tidenes morgen," Conan and Fafnir accompany an aging Countess on a perilous quest to locate the nest of a mythical bird whose egg appears only once every thousand years. The promise of eternal life through its yolk drives them deep into forgotten lands, where ancient dangers and forgotten magic await. When Fafnir accidentally bathes in the yolk, the consequences begin to unfold — but the true cost of such a gift remains unknown.
