“Experimental Aircraft”

In "Experimental Aircraft," Diver Rankine proves his mettle after a harsh training stint under the skeptical Gascoigne, only to find himself commanding a unit in New Guinea—where his former instructor now answers to him. As the two navigate their new dynamic, they're thrust into a high-stakes mission to recover torpedoes from a sunken Japanese submarine, testing their teamwork and resolve. José María Jorge’s dynamic art brings the tension and isolation of the jungle outpost to life, capturing the grit and quiet intensity of the mission.

Diver Rankine undergoes basic training by Gascoigne, who says he'll never make officer. Despite this Rankine graduates and is posted to New Guinea to take command of a small diving unit there. As luck would have it, Gascoigne has been posted there as well, and now finds himself outranked. Despite a difficult beginning, the two men learn to work together, especially after being sent to salvage torpedoes from a recently sunk Japanese submarine.
