Bobby Caswell sees something fall from the sky and crash nearby. He discovers a spaceship. He finds the ship empty, except for a box covered with alien symbols. Bobby's hand touches an outline on top of the box. His body is filled with energy and his mind with images. A mental recording by Doctor Bar-Ko explains that his world is dying, so they have enclosed the energy force of their planet's superhero in the box, hoping that it may benefit some other world. Following Bar-Ko's instructions, Bobby claps his hands together and visualizes the hero, thus transforming himself into Thunderbunny!
