Comet #201 is an anthology featuring three stories. "Shorty: The Deputy Sheriff" follows a diminutive lawman who invites a cowgirl named Katie to tea, but the visit goes comically awry when Shorty's preparations cause chaos with his guests and property. "Touch Tex" follows a muscular character who accidentally boards a train bound for Woback instead of getting fresh air, and spends the journey pulling the emergency cord repeatedly while trying to stop the train and return to his starting point. "Mick the Moon Boy" tells of a boy and his companion Hank who encounter a mysterious man named Dan Molland on the frontier; the story involves a conflict over land and water rights, with references to Molland's dangerous connection to electricity and mention of hidden guns.
