Marvel's WWII action series crackles with tension on this 1973 issue as Combat Kelly — red-haired, wide-eyed, and rifle raised — leads a desperate ground assault against a convoy of enemy vehicles packed with armed soldiers bearing down hard. Alongside him, a blonde fighter in red opens fire while the rest of the Deadly Dozen engage across the battlefield, and Kelly's cover speech balloon says it all: "C'mon, you heroes! If even ONE of those Krauts gets thru — we've had it!!"
