“Le Flumgluff de l'amitié”
About this Collection

This volume collects the 1979 album 'Par les chemins de l'espace,' part of the Valérian: Agent Spatio-Temporel series. It presents a complete story arc featuring the time-traveling agent Valérian and his companion Laureline, written by Pierre Christin and illustrated by Jean-Claude Mézières. The edition is the 16th in the series' 22-volume collection, published by Dargaud.

In "Le Flumgluff de l'amitié," Valérian finds himself trapped on the chaotic asteroid Uxgloa, where warlords wage endless battles using armies of their own past and future selves. Written by Pierre Christin and illustrated with precision by Jean-Claude Mézières—whose distinctive art defines the cover and interior—this 1979 Dargaud issue blends surreal sci-fi spectacle with a tense, introspective journey. The vibrant colors by Évelyne Tranlé and tight lettering complete a visually rich adventure where mastering Uxgloa’s crumbling technology may be the only way back to Earth.

The asteroid Uxgloa sees incessant battles between warlords at the head of armies of "clones" (in fact their past and future doubles). Caught up in this whirlwind, Valerian will have to master Uxgloa's decadent technology to return to Earth.
