The opening volume of Kadijster arrives in the Collectie Fenix series (no. 172) with a cover full of slapstick energy — one fellow stands triumphantly on a rooftop while a second goes sailing off the edge in a spectacular, water-splashing tumble, a ladder leaning innocently against the wall below. It's the kind of gleefully chaotic scene that Belgian comics do so well, promising plenty of pratfalls and comic misadventure within. A fine 2023 addition to any Flemish strip collection.
