An Emperor who loves clothes hires two swindling weavers who promise him a new suit invisible to the stupid. The Emperor pretends he can see a suit to avoid the charge of being stupid. When the Emperor processes before his subjects wearing his new suit, a child in the crowd cries, "The Emperor has nothing on!" The Emperor is mortified. Later, he contritely discards his wardrobe and forces the swindlers to make new clothes for the poor of the land.
