Classic Star Wars #12

Dark Horse's 1993 repackaging of the classic newspaper strips continues with issue #12, and Bret Blevins delivers a cover that pulls no punches: a fearsome alien warrior looms overhead with an axe raised to strike, while a fallen Wookiee lies sprawled in the foreground and a hostile crowd closes in against a smoldering orange sky. Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson's beloved collaboration — "Ice World" — promises the kind of pulpy, adventurous Star Wars storytelling that made these strips so beloved in the first place.
