Civil War #5

Part of Marvel's 2015 Secret Wars event, this fifth and final issue of Charles Soule's Civil War asks the burning question right on the cover: "Whose side are you on?" Leinil Francis Yu's cover art — inked by Yu himself — looms with a massive, brooding Iron Man dominating the background while a sprawling assembly of armored soldiers, powered combatants, and heroes collide in a chaotic clash below him. It's a fitting capstone image for a series that has kept two factions at each other's throats, and Sunny Gho's vivid color work bathes the whole battlefield in dramatic purples, reds, and firelight.
