Chroniques de la lune noire #15
The fifteenth volume of Chroniques de la Lune Noire opens the two-part "Terra Secunda" arc with a cover by Olivier Ledroit that practically glows with dark ambition — a crowned, armored sovereign enthroned in gold and crimson gazes out from beneath a great orb, inside which a burning tower rises above a battlefield of shadowy combatants. At the sovereign's feet kneels a flame-haired warrior woman in red, surrounded by scattered gems and flickering candles, the whole composition framed by an ornate sunburst of jeweled gold. With Froideval's writing and Angleraud's art bringing the Black Moon's world to life in 2012, this first half promises the kind of lavish, high-stakes dark fantasy the series does so well.
