The final chapter of Ben McCool and Ben Templesmith's six-issue noir series arrives with a cover that says everything without saying a word — a battered, bloodied figure hunched forward against a wash of deep reds and amber, bowed under what looks like considerable punishment. Templesmith's painterly cover work gives the image a raw, almost fever-dream quality that suits a story titled "...I Dreamt I'd Never Sleep Again" perfectly. A satisfying capstone to one of Image's grittier crime series of 2012.
