Chili #7
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe beach is packed and the attention is definitely not on Chili — at least not yet. Stan Goldberg's cover captures the rivalry in full sunny swing: red-headed Chili lounges on a beach towel in her stylish swimsuit and wide-brimmed hat, watching in dismay as blonde Millie in a bikini draws every eye on the shore, while a bespectacled fellow nearby cheerfully suggests Chili is free to stare too. Marvel's 1969 humor comics were doing something genuinely fun here — bright colors, witty speech bubbles, and a light rivalry that made Chili a perfectly breezy read for fifteen cents.
