Dagwood stumbles home after the injurious events of the previous story, "Space Race", just in time to go to work. His many bandages lead to an argument with Mr. Dithers followed by a burst of bossly-sympathy, then to a brief reminiscing about Mr. Dithers' good old days. The unpleasant memories stirred up in Dagwood's boss lead to him simultaneously choke Dagwood and beat him with a desk lamp.
