In "Dead Shot," Bart Runnels seeks refuge in the Badlands to escape man-hunters, believing he will be safe there due to his survival skills and supplies. When a man-hunter named Doc Holliday corners him and offers him a chance to surrender peacefully, Bart refuses and attempts to escape by climbing a high peak. However, Doc Holliday and the pursuing lawmen track him down, leading to a confrontation where the Cheyenne Kid intervenes, ultimately resulting in a violent clash between the Native American forces and the pursuers.
