As Chew races toward its conclusion, issue #59 delivers one of Rob Guillory's most striking covers of the series — a close-up portrait of a figure with glowing red eyes, cracked skin, and blood streaming down from a red-striped bar obscuring the face, rendered in a stark monochromatic palette that makes every drop of crimson pop. The design is genuinely unsettling, the kind of image that stops you cold in the rack. John Layman and Rob Guillory are clearly not easing up in this penultimate chapter of their long-running Image series.
