The 55th issue of Layman and Guillory's wonderfully weird food-crime series spotlights Mason Savoy — "The Cibopath" — rendered as a stocky, glowering figure in a brown coat and pink shirt, hands bound, standing beneath the long shadows of oversized cutlery painted in red and grey. The arc title The Hateful Ate sets a darkly playful tone that feels right at home in this series' singular universe. Rob Guillory's cover design is spare and striking, letting Savoy's brooding presence do all the heavy lifting.
