“Lights, Camera, Action, Part 2”

Cheryl Blossom is clearly the star of the show on this cheerful 1998 Archie Comics cover, her oversized, laughing face dominating the scene like a TV screen come to life — which, given the story title "Lights, Camera, Action, Part 2," feels perfectly fitting. Below her, a blonde girl in a swimsuit, a dancing couple, and a cross-armed boy react with a mix of amusement and mild irritation, while a lovesick shirtless young man swoons in the background surrounded by floating hearts. Cover pencils by Dan DeCarlo and inks by Jon D'Agostino give the whole thing that warm, playful Archie energy that made this era so endearing.
