The Challengers revert ogres called The Brutals to harmless tribesmen, as Villo watches via Brainex's monitor. The villains are reviewing time-viewer images of the Challs from the past, looking for their weaknesses, when the heroes arrive. Brainex sends out giant versions of the Challs while the villains make their escape. The duplicates disappear, but leave Ace dead. Another confrontation leaves Red dead. Later, Rocky and Prof find Villo and while Rocky fights the villain, Prof sneaks inside Brainex and rewires the viewer into a time machine, turning back time and restoring the dead Challs.
