Dave Johnson and Tim Bradstreet deliver a menacing ensemble for this February 1994 DC series, depicting a sharply dressed, sneering figure in a white suit striding forward — flanked by a hooded, heavily armed bruiser, a massive tattooed powerhouse with blades jutting from his head, a red-masked strongman, and an armored figure wreathed in flame. The surrounding graffiti and butcher-chart imagery give the whole scene a grimy, street-level energy that fits the series' uncompromising tone perfectly. With John Wagner writing and Dave Johnson on interior art, Chain Gang War #8 kicks off "The Crooked Man" arc with a cover that makes a very confident first impression.
