Catwoman #62
This February 2007 issue of Catwoman carries one of the most quietly affecting covers of the series, painted by Adam Hughes. In the foreground, a small blonde baby sits absorbed in playing with Catwoman's distinctive cowl and whip, while looming large in a cool blue wash behind the child are two adult figures — a woman and a man — posed in an intimate, almost confrontational closeness. The juxtaposition of innocence and identity, the baby with the tools of Selina's double life, sets a genuinely compelling emotional tone for "Sons and Daughters," written by Will Pfeifer with interior art by David López and Álvaro López.
