"Little Leaders" follows Mickey and The Kitten as they intervene to stop a fleet of U.S. bombers from crashing, with their controls shot out and the aircraft in a dive toward a northern base. The issue also includes "Blackout Butcher," a text story about Sam Barrow, a butcher's assistant who becomes entangled in an illegitimate black market meat operation during wartime, ultimately exposing the scheme to authorities after discovering his boss's criminal dealings.
