Case Files: Sam & Twitch #11

Sam and Twitch are back-to-back and armed for trouble in Greg Capullo's tense cover for this fifth chapter of the "Skeletons" arc — the heavyset Sam brandishing a shotgun while the wiry, bespectacled Twitch levels his revolver, both braced against an ominous cylindrical structure with grasping hands looming in the murky background above them. Marc Andreyko and Paul Lee deliver the hard-edged crime fiction this series promises, and that unsettling imagery of disembodied hands hanging overhead suggests the duo are in very deep this time. A brooding, well-crafted entry in one of Image's grittier cop dramas from 2004.
